All true no doubt. Although I recall my public school textbooks from the
one-room prairie schoolhouse containing the entire Nathan Hale speech.

Here is a quote that is also true:

The National Government will regard it as its first and foremost duty
to revive in the nation the spirit of unity and cooperation. It will
preserve and defend those basic principles on which our nation has been
built. It regards Christianity as the foundation of our national
morality, and the family as the basis of national life.

Adolph Hitler, Proclamation to the German Nation at Berlin,
February 1, 1933

Be careful what you wish for . . .

The Hitler’s quote is the one of a politician because the guy was far from being a believer in God. He needed the support from the Zentrum Party to get elected, so he had to appeal to the customer base :( He confused Christianity and white, blue eye, blond hair race. That’s very often the discourse of nationalistic parties in Europe. Those guys must forget that Christianity started from people in the Middle East but became a business developed in Europe :/
