The Drama Triangle
May 15th, 2005 by roWant some drama out of your life? Consider Karpman’s Drama Triangle.
Though we all need help some times in our life, careful when you Rescue a consistent Victim when they advertise for help. They may Persecute you for it.
Supposedly, the victim mentality keeps people playing the role because they (1) revel in the attention and nurturing and (2) manipulate from this "powerless" position.
For example, a Victim may feel more comfortable constantly being broke because they (1) get sympathy from others for their position, (2) can get others to pay for them, (3) gain power over the person that lends them money for now the lender has to look to the borrower for its return.
Victimization is most likely learned, and can be un-learned, as is put forth in the Learned Helplessness Theory by Dr. Martin E.P. Seligman.
Rescuing a Victim enables this helpless behavior.
So, be careful around Victims. Remove drama by removing them.

All true no doubt. Although I recall my public school textbooks from the
one-room prairie schoolhouse containing the entire Nathan Hale speech.
Here is a quote that is also true:
The National Government will regard it as its first and foremost duty
to revive in the nation the spirit of unity and cooperation. It will
preserve and defend those basic principles on which our nation has been
built. It regards Christianity as the foundation of our national
morality, and the family as the basis of national life.Adolph Hitler, Proclamation to the German Nation at Berlin,

The Meaning of Life
September 21st, 2004 by roTo discover your meaning of life, take the following steps:
- Poop
Some say that the "purpose" of anything alive is to make more of its own. That separates our common goal. Every living thing, bacteria to human, is here to change matter. Yes … eat and poop. This is the meaning of life.
- Reject
The bleak outlook of Statement 1 may bring a smile to your face, especially if you are feeling a bit aimless in life and/or spirituality. Regardless, you need to come up with your own reason for living. Follow this philosophy, whatever it may be, until you can whole-heartedly reject Statement 1.
